KillBox Scalemodelling
Sweden
Приєднався 8 жов 2016
This channel is dedicated to scale modelling.
It will feature occasional vlogs with my latest purchases, group builds and stuff like that. There will also be Tips and Tricks ("How-To"s), Kit reviews and Reveal videos.
I prefer to build in 1/72 scale, but I occasionally build things in 1/48 and 1/35. I have always been interested in aircrafts but as a casual World of Tanks player I sometimes find myself at the bench with an AFV. I'm curious about trying civilian vehicles as well.
About me:
My name is Tommy Killander. I live in Sweden in a small town called Lindome south of Gothenburg. I built a lot of cheap kits when I was a child/young teenager and I got back into the hobby again in 2014, when I turned 50. I'm an active member of International Scale Modeller forum and I'm also a member of IPMS Göteborg.
My portfolio with a selection of my work can be found here:

UV Curing Station Part 2: Mission Completed
You clever SOB😊! I love this idea!
I have never assembled an airplane from a model kit. Only from duty free those model airline crafts like Tui Boeing 737 Max 8, EasyJet Airbus A320 and British Airways Boeing 787-9. But, if I wanted to start my model kit plane. I would choose this Russian SU-57 5th gen. plane.
Clearly the crotch lamp is what makes these creatures Superior to humans. Amazing job!
Bought this kit after seeing Godzilla Minus One, but haven't started it yet. It will be totally out of box, with the exception of a seated pilot figure. I'm going to bite the bullet and re-scribe panel lines because the last kit I built that had raised lines, I didn't do that and regretted it. It's a small kit, so it shouldn't take too awful long. And because of the long, spindly landing gear, I'll do it wheels-up and put it on a display base. I was thinking of accent-burning a wooden base with a torch, then painting a rising sun flag on it.
What did you use to remove the plastic on the turbine exhuast for example
Хорошая работа!Следы эксплуатации очень реалистичны,но почему пропеллер как новый?!
Good build. One question. With what did you paint the track's
Really nice video! Clear, concise, informative, and encouraging. I’m really looking forward to tackling this project! Thanks!
Är du svensk för din accent på engelska låter svensk?
このNHKの番組は「紫電」も「紫電改」として扱っているから注意が必要。
This is not for colorblind people.
Hermoso trabajo.
Unrealistic
The shinden was featured in the godzilla minus one film. Hat's off to the crew who built the full scale mock up👌
Great. Hasegawa is to launch the updated 1/48 Shinden soon coming December to commemorate the latest Godzilla movie where the plane plays an imprtant role.
Great job... must try this kit as well!
Fantastic build! Great weathering and great production video! Thanks. Since perfection seems to be your goal, I’d suggest less weathering on the Shrikes. In my experience, missiles were kept very clean (unlike the aircraft). Smudges from dirty hands maybe, but no long streaks of wash.
I made it today, but the grass is not really standing up. Somebody an solution for this? I used 6 mm grass.
Beautiful.
Great work! Very fantastic building and video! Congratulations! Ciao
As a member of the Air Force stationed at Korat RTAFB, I worked many hours on 440, repairing the Doppler nav system.
🎈🎈👍👍😄😄👏
Excellent. A couple of quibbles ... I'd've turned the bottle around, stuck it through the plastic and had the sieve stuck to the closed end (with a big hole in it, of course.) That way, you can fill the bottle from the top without flexing the wire and the join to the sieve. That's a point of failure, I would have thought. You can make a hole quicker with a boring tool like a drilling spade or a hole saw. Heating your knife speeds things up too.
Brilliant work. Thank you for sharing
Paint work around the cockpit a bit sloppy. You should add the weathering a little bit to make it looks more realistic. But, over all, it is pretty good.
Absolutely brilliant. Highly skilled!
Very nice-!!
What a beautiful job mate. I wish someone would bring out a 1/32 scale of the Viggen. There is one kit done In resin but is hard to get from what I hear.
Trumpeters Sea Fury has some not easy to fix issues, as many Trumpeter model kits have. The wing shape in top view is wrong and the lower cockpit frame has a bow where the original is almost straight. I'm done with Trumpeter.
Love the Kfir ....so pretty ! Anyone know what all the white strips on the leading edge are for ??
Brilliant! As fallout, I now have drill press envy.....
Very nice build
Thank you very much for the stencils and masks provided! I assembled this model with a Begemot decal!
De todos los tutoriales que he visto sobre este tema, este es el mejor y esta bien explicado. Gracias por tu publicación
I'm really amazed at this build. I'm rather shocked it doesn't have more views and comments. The only question I have is what was the overall cost? It's always nice to provide a build list for anyone who'd like to build the same unit. Cheers, and good luck on future projects.
Great video, do have keep pressing the button or just hold it in? Cheers Graham
Very amazing but I don’t see the ram on real aircraft photos
Dude, chill with the loud background music, I'm missing half of what you're saying during portions of the video.
Looking forward to see your videos again. I understood from the comments that you are well. That is a relief. Ses snart!
Thanks Pär!
Great job. Just about to start this model myself. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks, good luck with the build
Excellent build..👌
Thanks a lot !
Seriously. All hobbying youtubers should be on your patreon, learning how to make calm, informative, relaxed videos with right camera shots. Man I loved those close ups. What camera do you use?
Wow, thank you! I use my mobile phone, most of the content on this channel where shot with a Samsung Galaxy 4 I think.
@@KillBoxScalemodelling loooool haha. And all them with tens of thousands worth of equipment cant just make a good close up
You should've tried different shades of metal to have a more interesting result
Maybe, I have done that on other models. It's a matter of taste...
I wonder if you rub a blow up balloon to create static, pass it over grass, would it stand on end. As if you do it with small ripped paper, it stands on end.
I haven't tried it, but if you give it a shot, let me know how it went
Hope all is well. Look forward to your return!🖖🏻
Thank you motionboy356! Everything is fine with me - and I have no plans to give up scale modelling 😊
I am a big fan, buty have not seen any recent videos from you -- are you still posting?
Thank you for your question - My scalemodelling is on a temporary hold right now, so I haven't posted a video in over a year. But I will get back to is some day again I'm sure :)
Awesome, can I use otero brands and kinds of cement?
I'm not familiar with that particular brand, but if i dissolves styrene I guess that it will work.
@@KillBoxScalemodelling I meant "other". Damn autocorrect.
Kudos on making a pro job of the splinter scheme 😎
Thanks!
Very nice, if you do another don't forget the silver leading edges of the vertical fin & stabilizers.
I will keep that in mind - thanks for the comment, Stuart
Very nice build! But 1 point of attention, the main landing gear doors of the viggen where closed when the aircraft was on the ground /parked. For the rest hats of very good build. 😉👍
Thank you very much, Jozua - I'm glad you liked it! You are correct, generally speaking. But service personell could open up the landing gear doors if they wanted to access the landing gear bays for inspection/service. I talked to a modelling buddy who made his military service in the SwAF about this.
@@KillBoxScalemodelling you are correct. I forgot the maintenance on the plane. 😉👍
